Seemingly abandoned following the “Iron Man 3” one, it looks like Marvel’s bonus ‘One-Shot’ short films could be making a comeback in a different form.
Speaking with Forbes, “Captain America: Civil War” directors Joe and Anthony Russo suggested that they’re considering bringing the idea back for marketing as part of the “Avengers: Infinity War” saga:
“We have gone through a little bit of a transition with that content, We can’t go into too many details about this but we are thinking, very specifically, about to do new ways of what you are talking about with Avengers: Infinity War. We’re just in the beginning phases of figuring them out. Yes, DVDs are gone but there is this wonderful internet platform out there called YouTube.”
The pair also suggest that trailers for the films could be more elaborate than other Marvel trailers – boasting footage especially shot for them along with all sorts of other viral content.
