When he was cast in Marvel’s “Eternals” film, 41-year-old “Silicon Valley” actor Kumail Nanjiani had a year to transform his body and he’s done so quite incredibly – posting the results on Instagram today.
Nanjiani has also spoken about getting his six pack and ripped biceps in a very refreshing and frank way, offering words far more inspiring than some fitness trainer or sporty type who has never been out of shape in their life.
Nanjiani says he hasn’t become some fitness convert who loves the gym, in fact he says straight up his transformation would have been impossible without “a full year with the best trainers and nutritionists paid for by the biggest studio in the world” and while happy he did it he’s glad he can become an ‘interesting person’ again:
“I never thought I’d be one of those people who would post a thirsty shirtless, but I’ve worked way too hard for way too long so here we are… I would not have been able to do this if I didn’t have a full year with the best trainers and nutritionists paid for by the biggest studio in the world. I’m glad I look like this, but I also understand why I never did before. It would have been impossible without these resources and time… The biggest thanks goes to @emilyvgordon for putting up with me complaining and talking about only working out and dieting for the last year. I promise I’ll be interesting again some day. #thirstyshirtless.”
Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek, Don Lee, Lia McHugh and Brian Tyree Henry co-star in “Eternals” which opens in cinemas on November 6th.
