“From” Renewed For Fifth & Final Season

MGM+

MGM+ has announced that they have renewed the supernatural thriller series “From” for a fifth and final season. The order comes in ahead of the show’s fourth season premiere on April 19th.

The series is set in a nightmarish town in the United States that traps those who enter. The unwilling residents strive to work together to stay alive and search for secrets hidden within the town and beyond in the hope of finding a way to escape.

Throughout, they are plagued by terrifying nocturnal creatures from the surrounding forest. The show centres on Boyd Stevens, the self-appointed sheriff and de facto mayor, along with the newly arrived Matthews family.

The highest-rated series on the streamer, filming takes place on location in Halifax, Canada, in a town built from the ground up specifically for the show.

Creator John Griffin tells THR there was temptation for a sixth season, but they all came to the realisation it was time to wrap things up with the fifth. The writers’ room is currently open, and filming aims to begin this Summer.

Harold Perrineau, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eion Bailey, David Alpay, Elizabeth Saunders, Shaun Majumder, Scott McCord, Ricky He, Chloe Van Landschoot, Pegah Ghafoori, Corteon Moore, Hannah Cheramy and Simon Webster co-star in the series.
