Jack Huston (“Ben-Hur”) and Maximiliano Hernandez (“Sicario”) have joined the second season of AT&T Audience Network’s breakout series “Mr. Mercedes” which begins production next month in South Carolina.
The first season followed demented killer Brady Hartsfield (Harry Treadaway) who taunts a retired police detective Bill Hodges (Brendan Gleeson) with a series of lurid correspondence, forcing the ex-cop to undertake a private crusade to bring the killer to justice.
The second season will be based on the rest of the Bill Hodges Trilogy of stories which includes “Mr. Mercedes,” “Finders Keepers” and “End of Watch”. Huston will play Dr. Felix Babineau, the doctor of demented killer Brady Hartsfield (Harry Treadaway). Hernandez will portray Assistant DA Antonio Montez.
Also back are Jharrel Jerome as Jerome Robinson, Scott Lawrence as Detective Peter Dixon, Breeda Wool as Lou Linklatter,, Justine Lupe as Holly Gibney and Holland Taylor as Ida Silver.
“Big Little Lies” writer David E. Kelley and famed novelist Dennis Lehane will be leading the second season writers room with “Lost” and “Game of Thrones” alum Jack Bender directing eight of the ten episodes.
