Paramount Pictures has premiered the first trailer for “Suicide Squad” and “The Beekeeper” filmmaker David Ayer’s new film “Heart of the Beast” starring Brad Pitt and a dog.
After a harrowing plane crash, Special Forces officer James Belmont (Pitt) and his German Shepherd combat dog, Odin, find themselves stranded deep in the Alaskan wilderness.
Together, they are forced into a brutal fight for survival against the elements. The intense adventure thriller explores the unbreakable bond between a man and his best friend as they face their greatest battle yet.
J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe co-star, and the film has reportedly been test screened multiple times in recent months to good reviews.
Clocking in at 100 minutes, the project is said to be a lean survival thriller along the lines of Joe Carnahan’s “The Grey”.
Ayer, Pitt, Olivia Hamilton and Marty Bowen produce while Damien Chazelle executive produces the film which was penned by Cameron Alexander.
“Heart of the Beast” is set to open in cinemas on September 25th.
