Writer/director John Krasinski has announced that filming has begun on the “A Quiet Place” sequel with a photo of the first film slate posted.
Paramount Pictures is backing the follow-up to 2017’s acclaimed smash hit about a family of four must navigate their lives in silence after mysterious creatures that hunt by sound threatens their survival. If they hear you, they hunt you. The film had minimal dialogue because silence is survival.
Emily Blunt returns alongside cast members Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds with John Krasinski set to write and direct again. They’re joined by Cillian Murphy and Brian Tyree Henry this time out.
Shooting is taking place in upstate New York locations near the Buffalo area including Akron and Olcott Beach. The new film has a release date of March 20th 2020.
