FOX’s “Empire” goes on hiatus after the airing of its December 2nd midseason finale, but that hasn’t stopped its two stars from doing something unexpected for the network – a variety special.
“Taraji and Terrence’s White Hot Holidays” will feature series stars Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard hosting a holiday hourlong special. Mary J. Blige, John Legend and Jamie Foxx and others will serve as special guests for the one-off in which the pair will also perform a special duet.
‘White Hot’ is scheduled to air in the show’s time slot the week after the finale – December 9th. Though “Empire” has slipped a bit in the ratings, it remains FOX’s most robust new performer in sometime with Howard and Henson’s characters essentially becoming the new faces of the network.
