Two actors from two of TV’s strongest western dramas in recent years – “Deadwood” alum Ian McShane and “Hell on Wheels” regular Common, has scored key roles in Chad Stahelski’s upcoming “John Wick” sequel at Lionsgate.
Keanu Reeves starred in the first as an ex-hitman who is forced return to the game when gangsters break into his home, beat him up and kill his dog.
Common will play the head of security for a female crime lord and serves as the film’s chief antagonist. McShane will reprise his role as Winston, the steely-eyed owner of the boutique hotel The Continental which caters to the hit-person community with its discretion, on-call doctors and no-killing rule.
Further plot details about the follow-up are being kept under wraps. Filming is slated to kick off this week.
