A new featurette and several new TV spots are out for 20th Century Studios’ new and FX-heavy adaptation of Jack London’s “The Call of the Wild,” just in time for tickets for the film to go on sale today.
‘Call’ follows Buck, a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life is turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon during the Gold Rush of the 1890s.
As the newest rookie on a mail delivery dogsled team, and later its leader, Buck experiences the adventure of a lifetime, ultimately finding his true place in the world and becoming his own master.
Harrison Ford, Dan Stevens, Omar Sy, Karen Gillan, Bradley Whitford and Colin Woodell lead the cast of the film alongside the entirely computer-generated pooch and some heavily CG environments in this Los Angeles-shot tale which cost the studio a reported $109 million.
“The Call of the Wild” opens February 21st.
