While director Bong Joon Ho has been a familiar face on the awards show circuit, another face that has drawn attention during their talk show and awards appearances has been Bong’s translator Sharon Choi.
Choi has been alongside Bong through the entirety of this awards season and was on hand to help translate the biggest moments of the night last night at the Oscars.
Turns out Choi is a filmmaker herself and The Wrap reporter Steve Pond has tweeted that with awards season now over, Choi plans to make a movie about ‘awards season’ and what that means. Bong himself reportedly confirmed to Indiewire that she was working on a script which he’s very curious to read.
Adding to the mix, “Crazy Rich Asians” and “The Gentlemen” actor Henry Golding saw the news and tweeted in response to Pond’s original tweet: “I’m free this summer”.
