“The Boys: Gen V” and “Scream 7” alum Asa Germann is in final talks for a key role in the “X-Men” revival at Marvel Studios.

Germann was among those rumored for the role of Cyclops, a part that “Heartstopper” and “Warfare” star Kit Connor scored.

The Kevin Feige-led studio was impressed enough with Germann however that they have now offered him the part of Warren Worthington III, aka Angel.

The winged character, who was introduced in the very first issue of X-Men back in 1963, has previously been played on screen by Ben Foster in “X-Men: The Last Stand” and Ben Hardy in “X-Men: Apocalypse”.

He joins a cast that includes Sadie Sink (Jean Grey), Christopher Abbott (Prof. X), Samara Weaving (Emma Frost), Inde Navarrette (Rogue) and Maya Boyd (Storm). Adam Driver is also up for villain Mr. Sinister.

Jake Schreier (“Thunderbolts”) is directing the feature which has a release date of May 5th 2028.
