Meryl Streep is in advanced negotiations to play the female lead in Nancy Meyers’ untitled romantic comedy for Universal Pictures says Variety.
Streep will play the female in a romantic triangle with two men. Streep next stars in the play adaptation “Doubt,” the Nora Ephron-directed “Julie and Julia,” and the stop-motion animated feature “The Fantastic Mr. Fox”.
Meyers (Something’s Gotta Give,” “The Holiday”) is producing with Scott Rudin. Production begins in February.
