Christian Gudegast (“A Man Apart”) has signed on to direct the bank heist drama “Den of Thieves” for Relativity Media says Variety.
The story centers on a thief who’s planning a heist but gets trapped between two sets of criminals. Shooting is scheduled to begin in the Fall.
Gudegast wrote the screenplay with Paul Scheuring nearly a decade ago with Peter Berg previously attached to direct the film at New Line. When that fell through, “X-Files” scribes Glen Morgan and James Wong came onboard to produce as a pilot for Fox in 2004 – but it never made it to air.
