The legendary 85-year-old Angela Lansbury is set to play the daughter of 31-year-old “Grey’s Anatomy” star Katherine Heigl in “Adaline” for Sidney Kimmel, Lakeshore and Summit Entertainment reports Deadline.
The story follows a young woman (Heigl) killed and then revived in a freak accident that physiologically locks her into her late 20’s. After decades of living a solitary existence, she finally meets a man who might be worth losing her immortality over so they can grow old together.
Lansbury will play the eighty-something daughter of Heigl’s character who needs her mother’s care as her health declines. Director Andy Tennant (“The Bounty Hunter,” “Fool’s Gold”) directs from a script by Mills Goodloe and Sal Pascowitz.
Steve Golin, Alix Madigan, Sidney Kimmel, Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi will produce. Shooting kicks off in April.
