Taraji P. Henson (“Hustle and Flow,” “The Karate Kid”) is in talks to join the cast of “Baggage Claim” at Fox Searchlight Pictures reports Black Voices.
The story follows a 35-year-old flight attendant who takes on a month-long mission to fly all around the country in her quest to find a husband. Along the way she meets some surprising suitors from a hip-hop producer, a reverend, a rising congressman and a textile tycoon.
Author/playwright David E. Talbert (“First Sunday”) has penned the script, based on his own 2005 debut novel, and will direct.
