“Blue Valentine” star Ryan Gosling and director Derek Cianfrance are re-teaming for the new drama “The Place Beyond the Pines” at Sidney Kimmel Entertainment says Variety.
The story centers on a motorcycle racer (Gosling) who moonlights as a bank robber to try and support his newborn son.
Bradley Cooper has been offered the key role of a rookie cop who crosses paths with the rider, which sparks a feud.
Cianfrance helms from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ben Coccio. Sidney Kimmel, Lynette Howell, Alex Orlovsky, and Jamie Patricof will produce. Shooting kicks off sometime this summer.
