New Line Cinema and Weed Road have acquired the film rights to Maggie Stiefvater’s young adult novel “The Raven Boys” says Variety.
The story follows a 16-year old from a family of psychics who has been foretold that she will cause her true love to die.
It gets more difficult as she starts to find herself attracted to them, especially a rich prep school-going circle of teens known as the Raven Boys. One of said group seeks the burial place of a Welsh noble who could grant him any favour.
No writer is attached at present, but Akiva Goldsman, Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell will produce.
