Filmmaker Colin Trevorrow has shot down one rumor regarding “Jurassic World,” the fourth film in the series and the first one he is directing.
That rumor? That the project isn’t a sequel but rather a reboot. Turns out, that’s not exactly accurate. In a tweet, Trevorrow says:
“Reboot is a strong word. This is a new sci-fi terror adventure set 22 years after the horrific events of Jurassic Park”.
That confirms the film will be set in contemporary times as the film is opening in 2015, twenty-two years after the 1993 release of the first film.
