Gwyneth Paltrow and Ewan McGregor are in talks to co-star with Johnny Depp in David Koepp’s crime drama “Mortdecai” at Lionsgate.
Depp plays Charles Mortdecai, an antihero art dealer and rogue who is in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.
Eric Aronson penned the script based on a three-part series of books by Kyril Bonfiglioli. Andrew Lazar, Depp and Christi Dembrowski are producing with filming aiming to begin later this year.
