In some great news, Legendary Pictures has closed a deal for the talented Michael Dougherty to co-write and direct the twisted horror comedy “Krampus”.
Todd Casey and Zach Shields penned the horror comedy set around the Christmas holiday and deals with a pagan demon who punishes the wicked.
Dougherty previously co-wrote “X2: X-Men United” and “Superman Returns” and his hiring is not surprising considering the cult fanbase that has sprung up regarding his Halloween-themed horror anthology feature “Trick R’ Treat”.
He’s also been drawing inventive and twisted takes on Christmas cards for well over a decade.
The project is not to be confused with “Anti-Claus,” that other Krampus movie in the works which Kevin Smith is slated to helm.
