Nothing had been heard about the ambitious film and TV adaptation of Stephen King’s epic fantasy novel series “The Dark Tower” for some time.
Then, a few weeks ago, former “Breaking Bad” actor Aaron Paul let slip he’d had a sit down with Ron Howard and the possibility of Paul starring in a role came up.
Sadly, despite that, the film remains in limbo for now. Writer/producer Akiva Goldsman, currently out doing promotion for his new directorial effort “Winter’s Tale,” tells Collider:
“It’s not officially back on and we will never let it go – until Stephen takes it away from us. [Laughs]”
Asked if the filmmakers are currently making casting decisions, Goldsman says: “No, but I love reading about it.”
