In an official press release, The CW has confirmed they have given full season orders its two hit freshman series “The Flash” and “Jane the Virgin”.
“The Flash” was the most-watched series premiere ever on The CW, scoring 6.1 million viewers in Live+3 ratings, and the network’s highest-rated series premiere among adults 18-49 since “The Vampire Diaries” in 2009.
“Jane the Virgin” was The CW’s most-watched and highest-rated show in its time period in two years. It also was critically lauded as one of the best new shows this season.
In similar news, Syfy has announced a second season of the zombie drama “Z Nation” to air in 2015. The series is currently midway through its first season and has averaged just under 1.5 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in Live+Same Day on Friday nights.
