Luke Evans is set to replace Jared Leto in a key role in the upcoming film adaptation of “The Girl on the Train” for Dreeamworks Pictures.
Erin Cressida Wilson penned this adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ novel, Emily Blunt plays a troubled woman who becomes fascinated by a seemingly perfect couple whose home she passes while riding the train.
But after she thinks she witnesses a murder, she begins to realize that she may have been involved in the crime. Evans will play the husband of a neighbor (Haley Bennett) that goes missing.
Leto dropped out of negotiations for the project due to scheduling issues. Rebecca Ferguson and Edgar Ramirez also star in the Tate Taylor-directed film which begins shooting this week.
