Lynda Carter, the actress best known for playing the original Wonder Woman in the 1970s TV series, has booked a recurring role as the president of the United States in The CW’s “Supergirl”.
Carter will recur on the second season of the CBS-turned-CW drama and will first appear in episode three. Producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg have previously said they first envisioned Carter’s president for a role in season one, but her schedule did not work out. Now it’s locked.
Carter becomes the second high-profile casting on the series of late, joining “Teen Wolf” favorite Tyler Hoechlin who will recur as Superman/Clark Kent. “Supergirl” returns Monday, October 10th.
