Jamie Foxx is set to play Little John opposite “Kingsman: The Secret Service” breakout star Taron Egerton as Robin Hood in the upcoming gritty reboot “Robin Hood: Origins” at Lionsgate and Appian Way.
Eve Hewson will be playing Maid Marian in the story which is said to bring a “Batman Begins” vibe to the story of the man returning from the Crusades who became an archer-thief who stole from the rich and gave to the poor.
Little John was Robin’s right-hand man and known to fight with a staff. Otto Bathurst helms the new take which will begin filming later this year.
