Netflix has premiered the trailer for the Cameron Diaz and Ed O’Neill led comedy “Back in Action,” the second action-comedy Diaz has done with Netflix.
It follows on from her return to acting with the streamer’s”Back in Action” last year. That film spent seven weeks on Netflix’s Global Top 10 English-Language Movies list and became one of the streamer’s biggest original action hits.
This mom-com follows a single mother struggling to keep a promise to her daughter on what becomes the “absolute worst” day of her life.
Joining her are the likes of Danielle Brooks, Rhenzy Feliz, John Higgins, Mark Duplass, Jessica Belkin, Ed O’Neill, Rob Corddry, Ayden Mayeri, Ben Schwartz, Retta, Emma Pearson, P.J. Byrne, Sherry Cola, Edi Patterson, and Beck Bennett.
Jake Szymanski directs from a screenplay by Laura Solon. Beau Bauman produces. “Bad Day” arrives on the service on December 11th.
Diaz also appeared in Jonah Hill’s “Outcome” on Apple TV earlier this year, and has both “Shrek 5” opening next year and an untitled Stephen Merchant rom-com releasing next year.
