Ahead of the show’s fourth season premiere, Amazon Prime Video have set the cast for the fifth season of “Reacher,” its smash hit adaptation of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels.
With it comes the confirmation that the next season will be based on the 20th book in the series, “Make Me,” which was published in 2015. Production is already underway on the new run with star Alan Ritchson previously indicating the shoot will take up much of the back half of 2026.
After his train stops in the mysterious agrarian town of Mother’s Rest, Jack Reacher teams up with private investigator Michelle Chang in the search for a missing colleague. They uncover a dangerous and deadly criminal conspiracy.
Amanda Ip takes on the season’s lead female role of Michelle Chang. Also onboard are Jay Baruchel (“Blackberry”) as Chief Buck Bauer, Kevin Durand (“The Naked Gun”) as Nokes and Ciara Bravo (“Voicemails for Isabelle”) as Eunice.
Interestingly, Baruchel was cast in the fourth season of the series but was forced to drop out due to a personal matter, and was replaced by Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette. The production was keen to have him though, so he’s come back for the next round.
The new season of “Reacher” kicks off on August 12th with the spin-off series “Neagley” launching the following month.
