Tom Hardy Fired From “Mobland” Series

Paramount+

Actor Tom Hardy has reportedly been fired from the Paramount+ crime series “Mobland” in the wake of the second season wrapping production back in March.

Puck News broke the story with Variety subsequently confirming that, according to sources, Hardy was not asked to return to the series following on-set issues with executive producer Jez Butterworth, production company 101 Studios and others.

Issues reportedly included lateness and attempts to change the dialogue.

A third season has not been formally announced at this time, so no decision has yet been made as to how to deal with Hardy’s character, Harry De Souza.

Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and Paddy Considine co-star in the series, which follows the Harrigan crime family. Hardy played a fixer for them.

The series, created by Ronan Bennett, launched on Paramount+ last spring and became the second most-watched show on the platform. Butterworth wrote all ten episodes alongside Bennett.
