“The Boys” prequel spin-off “Vought Rising” has premiered its first trailer, the clip arriving less than two days after the main series wrapped its run on Amazon.
The prequel takes place in the 1950s and charts the rise of the all-encompassing multi-billion-dollar corporation known as Vought International. Tone-wise it is said to be a twisted murder mystery.
Jensen Ackles returns as Soldier Boy alongside Aya Cash as Liberty/Stormfront, Mason Dye as Bombsight, Elizabeth Posey as Private Angel and Will Hochman as Torpedo.
Jorden Myrie, Nicolò Pasetti, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith co-star in the series, which will mark the last of “The Boys” franchise on the air following the recent cancellation of “Gen V”.
Ackles previously indicated that, as far as he’s aware, “Vought Rising” isn’t a one-off but designed as an ongoing series.
The release comes as “The Boys” is currently a hot topic of conversation on social media over the last scene with Homelander.
