Walt Disney Studios has announced a pair of release dates for two of its most anticipated sequels currently in the works.
First up, the follow-up to last year’s live-action “Lilo & Stitch” movie is already moving forward with speed – the Mouse House locking in a May 26th 2028 release date for the film.
The follow-up was announced as being in development in June last year, just weeks after the first film opened and pulled in over a billion dollars worldwide.
Story details for the follow-up remain under wraps, including whether or not the live-action sequel will incorporate elements from the direct-to-video sequels to the original animated film.
A few weeks later, Pixar will debut its third “The Incredibles” film on June 16th 2028.
The third entry in the popular animated superhero franchise takes over a previously earmarked date for an untitled Pixar movie.
The film was first announced back in 2024 and the new entry will arrive a whopping 24 years after the original debuted. Brad Bird, who wrote and directed the first two films, will write the third movie.
