The Batman Part II
A rumor over at Giant Freakin Robot reports that Daniel Craig has been offered the role of Christopher Dent in Matt Reeves’ “The Batman: Part II” and, if he passes, Liam Neeson would be offered it next.
The key role of the father of Harvey Dent was initially offered to Brad Pitt and then Stellan Skarsgard, both actors declining. The outlet suggesting this rumor was also the one to break the subsequently confirmed casting of Scarlett Johansson as Gilda Dent in the film.
The Rockford Files
Oscar-nominee Jacki Weaver will join David Boreanaz and Michaela McManus in NBC’s “The Rockford Files” reboot pilot. Weaver plays Karma, an original character and Rockford’s long-time trailer park neighbor. She’s a tough, outspoken activist and think-tank analyst.
Boreanaz stars as Jim Rockford, a witty, world-weary and chronically broke private investigator whose charmingly gruff exterior masked a strong moral core. He soon falls under the crosshairs of both local police and organised crime. [Source: Variety]
Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow
Daisy Edgar-Jones will star as a brilliant game designer in the film adaptation of Gabrielle Zevin’s best-selling novel “Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow”. Siân Heder (“CODA”) is directing and writing the screenplay based on drafts by Mark Bomback and Zevin.
Set over several decades, the story follows two friends whose lives first intersect in childhood and college and follows them as they become creative partners in the video game business. [Source: Variety]
