HBO has renewed its critically acclaimed original drama series “Industry” for a fifth and final season.
The news comes ahead of the show’s eight-episode fourth season coming to a conclusion this coming Sunday, March 1st, where it will screen an hour earlier than usual at 8pm US ET/PT.
The fourth season’s global viewing figures are pacing roughly 30% ahead of the third season with cross-platform viewers averaging 1.7 million per episode and growing.
Mickey Down & Konrad Kay, creators and showrunners, say in a statement: “We’re privileged to have joined the small, esteemed club of dramas that have run for five seasons on HBO… For some time now we have been thinking about how best to end the show on an unparalleled high. Unlike some of our characters, we know when to leave a party.”
The current season stars the likes of Myha’la, Marisa Abela, Kit Harington, Ken Leung, Max Minghella, Miriam Petche, Sagar Radia, Toheeb Jimoh, Charlie Heaton, Amy James-Kelly, Roger Barclay, Andrew Havill, Kiernan Shipka, Kal Penn, Jack Farthing, Stephen Campbell Moore, Claire Forlani, and Edward Holcroft.
