Lily Collins To Star As Audrey Hepburn

Netflix

Lily Collins (“Emily in Paris”) is set to play iconic actress Audrey Hepburn in a film about the making of 1961 classic “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” at Case Study Films and Imagine Entertainment.

The film is based on Sam Wasson’s bestselling book “Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the Dawn of the Modern Woman”.

That work is considered the first complete account of the film’s making and features an assortment of characters, including Hepburn, author Truman Capote, costumer Edith Head, and director Blake Edwards.

Hepburn starred in the film as Holly Golightly, a naïve, eccentric socialite who meets a struggling writer who moves into her apartment building. Love blooms but their past ends up getting in the way.

Nominated for five Oscars, the film became a fashion and cultural touchstone and was added to the U.S. National Film Registry in 2012.

“Dickinson” creator Alena Smith is adapting the script while Collins, Charlie McDowell, Alex Orlovsky, Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, Justin Wilkes and Scott LaStaiti will produce.
