Magician heist thriller “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” topped the global box-office this weekend – pulling in $21.4 million domestically and $54.2 million internationally for a $75.5 million opening weekend haul.

China, which has mostly eschewed Hollywood films these days, had a surprise success with the film, with the movie debuting to $21.7 million.

“The Running Man” also debuted in nearly 60 markets but stumbled out of the gate – the film taking in just $17 million domestically and $11.2 million overseas – making its global debut $28.2 million.

“Predator: Badlands” fell to third domestically in its second week, the title pulling in a further $13 million – a fairly steep drop of 68%. Internationally it pulled in an additional $16.1 million (a drop of 54%).

Domestically, its $66.3 million total is the best of the series to date; its global total of $136.3 million to date is the third best behind only the $160 million haul of “The Predator” and $177 million haul of “Alien vs. Predator”.

“Regretting You” and “Black Phone 2” rounded out the Top Five domestically with $4 million and $2.7 million. Newcomer “Keeper” bombed on release in seventh place with $2.5 million.

“Nuremberg” held well, dropping just 33% for sixth place in its second week with $2.6 million. “Die My Love” saw a steep 62% drop, while the numbers for the “Christy” second weekend weren’t even reported.

Finally, Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” crossed the $200 million worldwide mark this weekend thanks for a further $1.4 million haul overseas.
