Andor’s Denise Gough Goes To “Narnia”

“Andor” breakout Denise Gough, who played Dedra Meero in the criticially acclaimed series, has joined Greta Gerwig’s “Narnia” film at Netflix.

Appearing on the We’re Not Kidding with Mehdi & Friends podcast, Gough revealed the news herself, saying: “I’m doing a film with Greta Gerwig called Narnia. I’m playing someone mean in that, but it’s fine, it’s to children, it’s okay.”

Further details on Gough’s role are not available at this time. The film is expected to be an adaptation of “The Magician’s Nephew,” the first book chronologically in the series, but will move up its time period setting by a few years.

Emma Mackey and Carey Mulligan lead the cast of the film that is currently shooting in the UK. The film’s cast is expected to include Emma Mackey as The White Witch, Daniel Craig as Uncle Andrew, Beatrice Campbell as Polly Plummer, Carey Mulligan in an unspecified role, and Meryl Streep as Aslan.

Gough has also starred in films like “The Kid Who Would Be King,” “Robin Hood,” and “Juliet Naked” along with shows like “Who Is Erin Carter?,” “Guerrilla,” “Under the Banner of Heaven” and “Titanic: Blood and Steel”.

The original Narnia films have taken in nearly $1.6 billion worldwide with three feature films from 2005-2010. Mark Ronson is doing the score for the film which will receive a two-week theatrical IMAX run in November 2026 before it then arrives on Netflix’s streaming service in December.
