The trailer has premiered for Australian director Justin Kurzel’s new crime thriller “The Order” which had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival a few weeks back.
Based on the 1989 non-fiction book “The Silent Brotherhood” by Kevin Flynn and Gary Gerhardt, the story is set in the Pacific Northwest during the 1980s.
Jude Law plays a weathered FBI agent who believes a series of bank robberies and car heists were the work of a group of domestic terrorists and white supremacists.
This leads him into a deadly cat-and-mouse game with a charismatic domestic terrorist (Nicholas Hoult) plotting to overthrow the US government.
Tye Sheridan and Jurnee Smollett co-star in the film which covers the ensuing battle between law enforcement and the far-right group.
Vertical is set to release “The Order” in the U.S. on December 6th, with Amazon Prime Video handling much of the worldwide distribution.
