“Dune: Part Two” Scores A PG-13 Rating

Warner Bros. Pictures

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary’s highly-anticipated sequel “Dune: Part Two” has officially been given a PG-13 rating by the MPA.

The rating covers “sequences of strong violence, some suggestive material and brief strong language.” The Denis Villeneuve-directed film is effectively finished and was originally slated for a November 3rd release.

The actor’s strikes however have pushed that debut back with the movie now scheduled to arrive in cinemas on March 15th.

This adaptation of the second half of Frank Herbert’s novel will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family.

Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.

Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, and Stephen McKinley Henderson return and are joined by Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha, and Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot.
