Lucasfilm has released an official poster for Anthony Daniels’ C-3PO character following his appearance in the seventh episode of “Ahsoka” earlier this week.
The character popped up in a scene involving a senate committee meeting with C-3PO speaking on behalf of General Leia in her absence.
The appearance both served as a fun bit of fan service, and helped solve the “where’s Leia during all this?” question that has lingered over the series. Daniels returned to both suit up and voice the character for the cameo.
Today he also posted a message on social media thanking the production team and everyone watching:
“I was so pleased to shine briefly in the iconic Ahsoka – had such a perfect time with the lovely cast and crew on set, in the amazing Volume – and now, so touched by the kind comments from viewers who appreciated 3PO being there for the beloved princess. Thank you. Everyone.”
The seventh episode of “Ahsoka” is now streaming on the Disney+ service, with the eighth and final episode all set to release next Tuesday night.
It’s not clear when Daniels might reprise the role again. Lucasfilm did announce the animated special “A Droid Story” back in late 2020, but since then there has been no word on that project.
