First Trailer: David Fincher’s “The Killer”

Netflix

Following yesterday’s poster reveal, Netflix has premiered the teaser trailer for “Se7en,” “The Game,” “The Social Network” and “Gone Girl” director David Fincher’s newest film “The Killer”.

The film is based on a graphic novel by Alexis Nolent and Luc Jacamon and follows a professional assassin (Michael Fassbender) lost in a world without a moral compass. He’s alone, armed to the teeth, and slowly losing his mind as he awaits his next target.

After a fateful near-miss, he soon battles his employers and finds himself on an international manhunt he insists isn’t personal. The project marks Fassbender’s return to the screen after a four year absence.

Fincher has been mulling over the project for around sixteen years, with filming beginning back in November 2021. Tilda Swinton, Arliss Howard, Charles Parnell, and Sophie Charlotte also star.

Andrew Kevin Walker, who previously worked with Fincher, penned the script. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will handle the score.

“The Killer” is set to world premiere at the Venice Film Festival this week and then will release in select theaters in October ahead of its Netflix streaming premiere on November 10th.
