Teaser Trailer: “Good Burger 2”

Paramount+

Paramount+ has premiered the first trailer for “Good Burger 2,” the sequel to the original 1997 comedy feature with Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reprising their roles in this follow-up.

The original film was based on a recurring sketch within the Nickelodeon comedy series “All That” and follows a slacker high school student who takes a summer job flipping burgers in order to pay for damages he caused to his teacher’s car.

Reviews were mixed, but the film managed to gross $23.7 million off an $8.5 million budget and scored a cult following in the years since.

The sequel will see Dexter Reed (Thompson) down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails. Ed (Mitchell) welcomes Dex back to Good Burger with open arms and gives him his old job back.

With a new crew working at Good Burger, Dex devises a plan to get back on his feet but, unfortunately puts the fate of Good Burger at risk once again.

Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert, who co-wrote the original film, serve as writers and executive producers, whilst Phil Traill will direct.

The turnaround time on this was fast – the project was announced in March, began filming in May, and is now scheduled for release later this year on the Paramount+ streaming service.
