The Harder They Fall 2
Jeymes Samuel’s 2021 “The Harder They Fall,” boasting a stacked cast of impressive talent, released in 2021 on Netflix to quite positive critical reviews but didn’t appear to catch on with audiences and seemed quickly forgotten.
Nonetheless, Samuel has teased that he’s progressing forward with a sequel responding “…there is” to a fan posting wishing a second film was in the works. Sadly he didn’t go into any further detail. [Source: Twitter]
Dream Scenario
A24’s new comedy “Dream Scenario,” starring Nicolas Cage as a schlubby professor who becomes an overnight celebrity after appearing in everyone’s dream, will be released in cinemas on November 10th. Kristoffer Borgli pens and directs the film which Ari Aster is producing and also stars Michael Cera, Julianne Nicholson, Tim Meadows and Dylan Baker. [Source: A24]
To Kill a Tiger
Mindy Kaling and Dev Patel have signed on to executive produce the Nisha Pahuja-directed documentary “To Kill a Tiger”. The film follows a farmer’s pursuit of justice in rural India after his 13-year-old daughter is the victim of a gang rape.
Challenging a centuries-old system that has silenced the voices of victims, the family remains resolved in their intent. The film will be released theatrically on October 20 at New York’s Film Forum before continuing to expand to major cities. [Source: Variety]
Star Wars: Ahsoka
Another “Star Wars: Ahsoka” video is out, this one putting the focus on the master-apprentice relationship of the Jedi and Sith, and how it ties to the new series. The two-episode premiere, streams from August 23rd on the Disney+ service.
