Anakin Speaks In “Ahsoka” TV Spot

Lucasfilm

A new 30-second spot for “Star Wars: Ahsoka” has finally revealed the long-confirmed return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker – albeit only in voice form.

The spot aired during ABC’s broadcast of the Disney+ series “Ms. Marvel” tonight in an effort by the company to both bring in more viewership for that series and fill out a schedule impacted by the strikes.

The new spot centers on Anakin, starting with Ray Stevenson’s villain Baylan Skoll and Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka discussing him, along with a brief glimpse of Anakin from the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” mini-series.

That’s followed by several sentences of new dialogue from Christensen’s Anakin: “In this war, you’ll face more than just droids. As your master, it is my responsibility to prepare you… Don’t be afraid. You can do this, Ahsoka.”

From the sounds of the dialogue, they appear to be from a flashback sequence where he’s addressing Ahsoka early into her Jedi training. Another possibility as this is “Star Wars” is that it could also be a Force Ghost-style situation.

Whilst the characters have been linked in animation and appeared separately on screen, Christensen’s take on the character has never shared the screen with any version of Ahsoka – until this coming series.

As soon as a good-quality copy shows up, it will be included below. “Star Wars: Ahsoka” debuts with two episodes on Disney+ on August 23rd.
