Adam Sandler and his actual daughters, Sunny and Sadie Sandler, star as a family in the first official trailer for Netflix’s “You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah”.
Sammi Cohen directs from a script by Alison Peck which is based on Fiona Rosenbloom’s coming-of-age novel. The story follows best friends Stacy Friedman and Lydia Katz. As the pair deal with the stressors of middle school life, Stacy is busy planning her bat mitzvah and ogling over her crush Andy.
Lydia ends up stealing Stacy’s crush from her, forcing a reckoning between the pair. Idina Menzel co-stars as Sandler’s wife in the film, whilst Sarah Sherman, Luis Guzman and Ido Mosseri co-star. “You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah” releases on the streamer in August 25th.
Also today, Netflix has also released the trailer for “Spencer” director Pablo LarraÃn’s new dark comedy/horror meets political satire “El Conde” which hits the service on September 15th.
The story portrays former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet, a symbol of world fascism, as a vampire who lives hidden in a ruined mansion in the cold southern tip of the continent and has become despondent.
