Actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have used their respective Instagram accounts here and here to post the first shot (albeit lo-res) of Deadpool and Wolverine together on screen in the upcoming third “Deadpool” movie for 20th Century Studios.
The shot sees Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine finally sporting the X-Men’s iconic yellow and blue outfit, though without the character’s famed facemask – rather just his more regular Logan hairstyle.
The pair are currently filming the project which also stars Jennifer Garner confirmed to be reprising her role as Elektra which she played first in 2003’s “Daredevil”.
Also back are Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Karan Soni (Dopinder), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Rob Delaney (Peter), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), and Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio) who are joined by franchise newcomers Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen.
Other names rumored to be included range from Owen Wilson as Mobius to Channing Tatum as Gambit. Plot specifics for the new entry are under wraps though it’s expected to skewer the recent trend of multiverse spanning films and series.
Shawn Levy directs the film from a script he co-wrote with Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and Zeb Wells. The film opens in cinemas on May 3rd next year.
