Daisy Ridley Leads Martin Campbell’s “Cleaner”

“Star Wars” sequel trilogy actress Daisy Ridley is set to star in the action-thriller “Cleaner” which hails from “Casino Royale,” “The Mask of Zorro” and “GoldenEye” filmmaker Martin Campbell.

In the film, radical activists take over an energy company’s annual gala taking place within Western Europe’s tallest skyscraper – The Shard in London.

The group takes 300 hostages to expose the corruption of the hosts, but a zealous extremist within their ranks hijacks their plans – a person ready to murder everyone in the building to send the world a message.

Ridley plays Joey Locke; an ex-soldier turned window cleaner suspended 90 storeys up on the outside of the building. She must find a way to save those trapped inside and take down the killers whilst also finding a way to bring the corrupt energy moguls to justice.

Campbell says in a statement much of the film takes place on the side of the Shard, many meters above the ground. Sebastien Raybaud and Callum Grant will produce for Anton, and filming will kick off in the late Summer, with filming locations currently being determined.

Ridley recently finished the noir thriller “Magpie,” and will next be seen in “The Marsh King’s Daughter” and “Young Woman And The Sea”. Ridley will also be reprising her role as Rey in “Star Wars: New Jedi Order” due late 2025.
