New Photos: Martin Scorsese’s “Flower Moon”

Apple Original Films, Paramount Pictures

After a year of just one single official photo in circulation, Martin Scorsese’s upcoming period drama “Killers of the Flower Moon” has finally released some new stills ahead of the film’s world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival next month.

Apple Original Films has premiered three new images from the film which can be seen below – Scorsese himself appearing in one with the film’s main stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Lily Gladstone also in them.

The photos come as the $200 million-budgeted film premiered its first trailer at CinemaCon this morning as part of Paramount Pictures’ presentation.

Jesse Plemons, John Lithgow, Brendan Fraser, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, Jillian Dion, Tatanka Means, William Belleau, Scott Shepherd and Tantoo Cardinal co-star in the movie based on David Grann’s best-selling book and written for the screen by Eric Roth and Scorsese.

The story unfolds in 1920s Oklahoma and depicts the serial murder of members of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation – a string of brutal crimes that came to be known as the ‘Reign of Terror’. The action deals with an early FBI investigation and a family at the heart of the drama.

Boasting a massive 206 minute runtime, the film is currently slated to premiere out of competition at Cannes but could shift to be in competition in the weeks ahead.

The movie will get a limited theatrical release on October 6th before opening wide on October 20th ahead of streaming later on Apple TV+.
