McConaughey Talks Apple Series “Brother”

HBO

Matthew McConaughey has spoken some more about “Brother From Another Mother,” the upcoming Apple TV+ comedy series which sees him re-teaming with his “True Detective” and “EDtv” co-star Woody Harrelson.

The project is dubbed an “odd-couple love story that revolves around the ‘strange and beautiful bond’ between the pair”, according to Apple. Their friendship will be tested when their combined families attempt to live together on Matthew’s ranch in Texas.

The project hails from Skydance Television and speaking with Kelly Ripa on her SiriusXM podcast Let’s Talk off Camera, McConaughey says it’s “a series about our families that’s based on truth”.

He goes on to explain how they plan to approach the half-hour comedy series:

“Where Woody and I are the best of friends, we have different approaches in how we raise our children and how we go about certain things. It’s a love story about us, he and I and our families coming together and the conflicts and comedy that come with it.”

McConaughey adds that he’s questioning whether they might be biologically related as there may be a familial connection. West Read will executive produce alongside Harrelson and McConaughey, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Matt Thunell, Bill Bost and Jeremy Plager.
