Keanu & Apple Join Jonah Hill’s “Outcome”

Keanu Reeves Heads To White City
Warner Bros. Pictures

Apple Original Films has picked up Jonah Hill’s “Outcome,” a dark comedy he will direct and has co-written with Ezra Woods. In addition, Keanu Reeves is negotiating to join the project in the lead role, with Hill co-starring.

Should a deal go through, Reeves would play Reef – a damaged Hollywood actor being extorted with a mysterious video clip from his past. He must dive into his dark history to confront his personal demons and make amends.

Hill will produce alongside Matt Dines and Ali Goodwin. Reeves’ casting comes off the success of “John Wick: Chapter 4” which opened to a franchise-best $73.5 million domestically and has taken $247 million global after just 12 days of release so far.

Hill and Apple Original Films are also developing a Grateful Dead biopic with Martin Scorsese’s Sikelia Productions. Scorsese is directing that project, with Hill starring and producing alongside Dines and Goodwin.

Hill recently starred in and produced the Netflix comedy “You People” co-starring Eddie Murphy. He also directed “Stutz,” a critically acclaimed documentary that tackled mental health issues.

Apple has Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” and Ridley Scott’s “Napoleon” due out later this year for serious awards contention. Later this month, they’ll release the high-concept romantic action-adventure movie “Ghosted” starring Chris Evans and Ana de Armas.
