Barbie, Beetle, Spider-Verse Trailers Coming

This week is set to be a very busy one for trailers.

Things kick off tonight with the second trailer for Marvel Studios’ “Secret Invasion” TV series. The Disney+ account confirmed that trailer release whilst debuting the espionage thriller limited series’ new poster art. Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn and Olivia Colman lead the cast of the series, which deals with a Skrull infiltration of Earth.

Next up will be the first trailer for Warner Bros. Pictures’ DC Comics adaptation “Blue Beetle”. That trailer will launch tomorrow (Monday). 21-year-old “Cobra Kai” actor Xolo Maridueña stars as Jaime Reyes, a first-generation Mexican-American kid from El Paso who becomes the eponymous hero when he’s implanted with super-powered alien armor.

Then comes the new trailer for “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”. That clip will be released online on Tuesday, and Sony has released an action-packed 15-second tease from the film, which you can see below, showing off the high-speed web-slinging fun.

Finally, a second trailer for Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated “Barbie” movie will drop this week, though an exact date hasn’t been set. After the first one was mostly a concept teaser, it’s likely this one will offer a much better look at the likes of Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Simu Liu and Ncuti Gatwa in the actual film itself.

“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” debuts June 2nd, Marvel’s “Secret Invasion” premieres June 21st, “Barbie” opens July 21st, and “Blue Beetle” releases August 18th.
