Two high-profile upcoming limited series have unleashed new promo trailers today.
First up, Netflix has released the full trailer for Shonda Rhimes’ upcoming “Bridgerton” prequel limited series spin-off “Queen Charlotte” which follows the epic love story between Charlotte and King George.
The video features India Amarteifio stars as the young Charlotte, whose life changes after she was chosen to be in an arranged marriage with the King of England (Corey Mylchreest).
It sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in “Bridgerton”. The series also stars Arsema Thomas as Lady Agatha Danbury, Sam Clemmett as Young Brimsley, Richard Cunningham as Lord Bute and Michelle Fairley as Princess Augusta.
Meanwhile HBO Max has released the trailer for the true crime miniseries “Love and Death” starring Elizabeth Olsen as regular church-going Texan suburban housewife Candy Montgomery.
She starts an affair with Allan Gore (Jesse Plemons) , the husband of her friend Betty (Lily Rabe), in an attempt to bring excitement to her life. Things take a dark turn, after Betty gets brutally murdered.
Krysten Ritter, Patrick Fugit, Keir Gilchrist, Elizabeth Marvel and Tom Pelphrey co-star. The series is written and executive produced by David E. Kelley with Lesli Linka Glatter directing.
“Queen Charlotte” is scheduled to make its debut on May 4th on Netflix, whilst “Love and Death” kicks off on April 27th on HBO Max.
